Good morning to the Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends. First of all I wish you a very “Happy Independence Day”, and I would like to thank you all for giving me this wonderful opportunity to speak about this proud day.
India became Independent from the British rule on 15th August, 1947. Since then every year we are celebrating Independence Day on 15th August.
As India completed 77 years of Independence, we are celebrating “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”.We should always proud to be an indian.
We should never forget the sacrifices of all the freedom fighters such as Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad and millions of others whose names are not even know but they fought to make India free from the British rule.
Because of their sacrifices, struggle and hardwork, today we are enjoying our freedom. So we should always respect our freedom fighters.
This great day teaches us the importance of patriotism and strengthens our Unity irrespective of any differences.
So my dear friends Know the value of freedom, and this is not something obtained at once. We are born in Independent India, but our freedom fighters didn’t.
So we should always respect our freedom fighters and our freedom.
So my dear brothers and sisters, let’s celebrate this independence day and love our country.
